Trailmaster Weekend 2018
Units from across the council are invited for a weekend of conservation training and practice. Programs will include trail construction and maintenance, wood tool skills and safety, conservation awards and programs, and map and compass skills. A unique patch is being created for the Trailmaster Corps.
This event is designed for Scouts. Some units bring their new Scouts along for skills training while older Scouts and adults participate in the Trailmaster Program. This event is not age appropriate for Cub Scouts.
Campsites are available on Friday and Saturday nights. Weather is uncertain in the Spring so be sure your Scouts bring waterproof boots, warm clothing, and rain gear. Troops are responsible for their own meals during the weekend including a packable lunch for Saturday. For the trail projects on Saturday, long pants, work gloves, day pack and a water bottle are recommended.
