SILVER BEAVER NOMINATIONS

Silver Beaver Award Nomination form can be downloaded here.

The Silver Beaver Award is the highest recognition the Blue Ridge Mountains Council can bestow upon an individual. The award is presented to registered volunteer Scouters or civic leaders for noteworthy service to youth. The Silver Beaver Award will be presented at the Council Recognition Dinner on Friday, March 27th, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Salem Civic Center at 1001 Roanoke Boulevard in Salem.

The requirements for the award are:

• Candidates for the award must be registered volunteer Scout leaders within the Blue Ridge Mountains Council.
• They must have rendered noteworthy service of exceptional character to youth.
• A suggested minimum of ten years of accumulated service to youth will be considered.
• Service to youth and community involvement outside of Scouting are desirable.

Nominations are accepted through February 9th and the Silver Beaver Award Nomination form can be downloaded here.
