Council Popcorn Sales Surpasses $1 Million for Eighth Year
The final report is in! A BIG popping “Thank You” and congratulations goes out to all of the Scouts, parents and volunteers who worked so hard to make this year’s sale a great success. Our final total is $1,154,714. This is a 15 percent increase over our 2006 sales and the eighth year in a row for surpassing $1 million in total sales. Over $350,000 was distributed to our units in commissions to support their Ideal Year of Scouting.

Top Popcorn Sellers:
The Council would also like to recognize the top sellers council-wide and from each district in the 2007 Popcorn Sale. 93 Scouts sold over $1,000, with 17 qualifying for the Trail's End Scholarship Program. 428 Scouts qualified for the Super Popper Blitz prize, and 309 qualified for the "Scouting Day with the Virginia Tech Hokies" which will take place on April 5.
