Internet Advancement

The Blue Ridge Mountains Council is excited to offer Online Advancement to your unit. This new method for recording advancements is easier and more efficient because you'll be entering the information yourself. This ensures that your units information will be correct, and you can do it from your home or office, anytime that it's convenient for you. Use Internet Advancement for the following:

          • Add ranks, merit badges and awards
  • Update information on existing advancements (excepting the Eagle Scout rank)



To Use Internet Advancement:

  1. Select your unit advancement processor. This person must have Internet connectivity and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. Obtain your unit ID number from the Council or your district executive.
  3. Gather information from unit leaders for rank advancements, merit badges earned, etc.
  4. Click Internet Advancement on this page. Follow the instructions in Internet Advancement to process advancements and print an advancement report.
  5. After submitting your report, print a copy and send it to the Council Service Center. You may want to save a copy for your files. Units should submit advancements monthly before the end of each month, or more often if needed. In December, submit a report before the end of the month to update unit and Council statistics.
